Who comes to Parkway Bible Church?
Our congregation is small but growing. We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, family-oriented church from all backgrounds – a good representation of the people in Fairfax County. If you’re not sure if you will fit in at our Sunday Services, you will.
What do I need to wear?
Most people wear casual and comfortable clothes for Sunday Services. If you want to dress up, that’s fine too.
When do I need to arrive?
If you have small children, you may want to come a few minutes early to get them settled and sign them into the children's ministry kiosk at the front of the building. Birth-Kindergarten can be dropped off before service starts. First-5th will go to the service and be released to our JAM Sunday School after a few songs during the service. The service starts at 10:00 am.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of free parking in front of Sangster Elementary School.
What will I experience
In addition to uplifting contemporary worship music and a sound biblical message, our prayer is that you will experience the love of Christ at Parkway Bible Church. So come on in, grab a warm cup of coffee, and make yourself at home. We look forward to meeting you!
What happens during a Parkway Bible Church Service?
During the Service
A typical Sunday service starts with a welcome and prayer followed by music. Our pastor gives a sermon or lesson, centered on a specific Bible text from a book in the Bible. We begin the worship service with music, followed by the sermon, then announcements, and a final prayer.
We have singing and music interspersed throughout our services. We say that worship isn’t just something we do on Sunday mornings – it’s an attitude that we hope defines the way live and interact with the world, and our goal is to express that joy through our songs.
Our musical style is a blend of folk, acoustic rock, and country. Our influences range from Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan to U2, Jars of Clay, and Mumford and Sons. Our instrumentation is stripped down and simple, and we work to adapt our sound based on the instruments and talent available each week.
After our Sunday services, we set aside time for fellowship over coffee, tea, and light snacks. Don’t be surprised if members of our “first impressions” team introduce themselves.
