A Church on a Mission

Parkway Bible Church deliberately sets aside 25% of all of our donations (before expenses) for outside-our-walls Missions and Mercy efforts.

The purpose of the Missions and Mercy team is to help the church display God’s heart for the world through the sharing of the good news of the Gospel, and the demonstrations of His generosity and love for every nation, tribe, people, and language.

In response to God’s love for us and for others, we desire to serve our neighbors so that they also might know Him. We want our words and deeds to point people to our Father in Heaven who is “a father to the fatherless” and “a defender of widows,” who “settles the loneliness in families” and “leads forth the prisoners with singing.” (Psalms 68:5-6a)

Take Action

Missions and Mercy are at the heart of Parkway Bible Church. We hope 100% of our attendees will get involved in some way – to give, go, tell, disciple, serve, pray. There are a variety of ways to get involved with our partner organizations as well as projects throughout the year.

Walking with a Purpose Trips: We regularly send out missions teams – usually once or twice per year. If you are interested in going or what more information, contact the Missions and Mercy Ministry. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a major impact in the lives of many people for generations to come.

Burke School Support

Parkway Bible Church partners with the staff and faculty of Burke School, a unique Fairfax County Public School serving special needs children from K-8. Burke School is a public day school for elementary and middle school students receiving special education services primarily due to emotional and/or behavioral needs. The goal, premised on Christ’s mandate to “love your neighbors,” is to encourage and support teachers, students, and their families through a variety of means, including but not limited to: teacher breakfasts and luncheons; Thanksgiving Luncheon service and transportation; Angel Tree gifts for students and families at Christmastime; ”Blessing” Baskets; field trip sponsorship and assistance; Box-top drives; grocery/gift cards; and prayer. For more information on how to get involved, contact the Mission and Mercy Ministry.

We cannot share information about all of our missionaries due to safety concerns. For those we can, we hope that familiarizing yourself with them will help you see into our heart as a church and encourage you to join with us in praying for them.
